Angela Koster-Sorenson

Hello!  My name is Angela Koster-Sorenson.  Since 2009, I have been teaching Family and Consumer Science in the Pine Island School District.  After graduating from Mankato State University, I have taught in a number of districts in the area including Byron, Dover Eyota, Lake City, Bloomington and Faribault.  I spent a number of years as the director of a daycare center and preschool teacher when my kids were little.  I have 2 kids, Oliver and Zach.  They are both graduates of Pine Island High School and are busy adulting.

My husband and I are empty nesters and enjoying our time adulting as well.  Paul works in printing, making high-end baseball cards.  He also helps coach the PI Trap team.

I enjoy teaching FCS classes in Food/Nutrition, Family Life/Child Development, Relationships/Teen Issues, Independent Living/Personal Finance and Sewing classes.  Every year brings new adventures.

FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America.  This extra curricular activity available for ALL students 7th-12th grade.   They may join at any time during the year.  I am the high school advisor and they can contact me for membership information.

I look forward to working with your child and encourage communication with you and your student.

Have a great year!

Angie
